Billing, Settings & Developer API
Where MiniTill settings take effect
Know the difference between personal, Business-level, and Store-level settings before changing operational behaviour.
Overview
- Personal account settings belong to the signed-in user.
- Business-level settings affect shared Business data or Business-wide programs such as staff/access, customer/loyalty programs, API keys, Billing, many integrations, and Business catalogue/costing settings.
- Store-level settings affect one location, such as Store Hours, device/POS/KDS configuration, Customer Display, many payment/device settings, POS security, Store online ordering, inventory, and Store availability.
- Some areas intentionally combine Business data with Store overrides—for example Products are Business catalogue records while Store price/availability can differ.
- The selected Business/Store and active permission role determine which settings are visible/editable.
When to use this
- Check scope before any change where you are unsure whether it should affect one location or every Store.
Step-by-step
- Check the current Business/Store selector.
- Ask whether the data is shared Business policy or location-specific operation.
- Open the matching Business or Store settings page.
- Save the change.
- Verify from another Store only when the setting is supposed to be Business-wide.
Common mistakes
- Do not create duplicate Business records merely to get different Store settings.
- Do not expect changing Store Hours at one Store to change another Store.
- Do not expect Store Managers/Cashiers to see Owner/Business-manager-only configuration.
Troubleshooting
- If a setting appears unchanged, confirm you edited the same Store currently selected.
- If a page is missing, check active role/delegation, Business/Store scope, and plan feature entitlement.
