Reports & Store Operations
Sales by Time
Compare hourly or daily demand, previous-period performance, peaks, weekdays, and Store operating hours.
Overview
- Sales by Time is an Advanced Report for hourly/daily demand patterns and previous-period comparison.
- The chart/report uses the selected Business timezone and can overlay/consider configured Store operating hours.
- Weekday filtering allows comparisons such as Mondays only rather than mixing different trading patterns.
- Hourly reporting is useful for demand shape; daily reporting is better for longer comparisons.
When to use this
- Use this when planning prep/staffing windows, checking early/late trading value, or comparing the same weekdays across periods.
Step-by-step
- Choose Store and date range.
- Choose Hour or Day granularity.
- Optionally select weekdays.
- Compare peaks with Store opening hours.
- Use previous-period context before changing operating hours.
Common mistakes
- Do not compare an hourly Monday pattern with a mixed seven-day period.
- Do not assume a zero-sales hour means the Store was open; compare operating hours.
- Do not use one unusually busy event day as the sole basis for a permanent staffing change.
Troubleshooting
- If an expected hour is absent, verify timezone and the recognised Payment time.
- If operating-hours context looks wrong, correct Store Hours rather than adjusting report data.
