Troubleshooting & FAQ

A feature is locked or a limit has been reached

Check the selected Business's effective plan, custom overrides, usage, and subscription status before changing configuration.

Overview

  • Features and numeric limits are Business-specific and can differ from standard plan defaults because of custom overrides.
  • Billing Overview is the best source for effective Store/staff/Product/Order/POS/KDS/API limits and feature availability.
  • A PAST_DUE/UNPAID warning can coexist with core POS availability, while plan-dependent entitlements still depend on valid subscription state.
  • Usage/feature restrictions are not fixed by changing Store scope or recreating data.

When to use this

  • Use this if Create/Add buttons are blocked, Advanced Reports/API/Integrations are locked, or the Business appears over a limit.

Step-by-step

  1. Confirm the selected Business.
  2. Open Billing & Plan → Overview.
  3. Review Current plan, Feature availability, Usage, and any custom override banner.
  4. Check subscription status/scheduled downgrade/cancellation.
  5. Deactivate obsolete active resources if appropriate or choose the correct plan change.

Common mistakes

  • Do not delete historical Orders to work around monthly order limits.
  • Do not assume another Business owner's subscription applies to this Business.
  • Do not assume standard public plan limits override a custom Business entitlement shown in Billing.

Troubleshooting

  • If your subscription payment succeeded but MiniTill still shows the Business as locked, refresh Billing and contact support with the Business name and the message shown.
  • If usage is unexpectedly high, inspect which active resources are counted before removing anything.
