What MiniTill sends to Xero

Understand Account Sale invoices, Till Closing/daily sales, expense receipts, marketplace sales, settlements, and what is not automatically posted.

Overview

  • Account Sale can create/synchronise customer invoices where the customer/contact requirements are satisfied.
  • Till Closing is the supported Daily Sales Sync boundary for direct MiniTill/POS sales; marketplace payments are excluded from that direct-sales posting.
  • Expense Receipt workflows can create or attach to Xero Spend Money transactions.
  • Marketplace Sales Sync posts supported marketplace gross-sales accounting by Store/date/provider context.
  • Marketplace Settlement Sync is a separate reconciliation workflow for clearing, fees/adjustments, and net bank deposit.
  • Supplier Invoice Apply in Business Documents currently updates MiniTill Costing purchase prices; it does not automatically create a Xero supplier bill.
  • Supplier Credit Note review currently does not automatically create a Xero credit note.

When to use this

  • Use this before assuming that a MiniTill document/order/settlement has an equivalent automatic Xero posting.

Step-by-step

  1. Decide which Xero workflow the record belongs to.
  2. Confirm Xero connection and required account/contact mappings.
  3. Run or allow the supported workflow.
  4. Check sync state/logs.
  5. If MiniTill operational processing succeeded but Xero failed, retry the Xero step only.

Common mistakes

  • Do not post marketplace sales again through Till Closing Daily Sales Sync.
  • Do not recreate a Till Closing because its Xero sync failed.
  • Do not assume a Supplier invoice reviewed in MiniTill has become a Xero bill.

Troubleshooting

  • If Xero totals look duplicated, check whether the same sales were included in more than one export workflow.
  • If a supported sync fails, inspect the workflow-specific status/log and mappings before retrying.
